The evergreen nutmeg tree originated in Indonesia and is grown in most tropical areas. Nutmeg is the seed of the plant and Mace its dried outer covering. Nutmeg and Mace make delicious and aromatic additions to soups (Pumpkin), curries, sauces or pickles. Also delicious in puddings, cakes and pastries.
Finely grated into milk puddings and custards or onto cappuccinos. Also great in white sauces, Bolognese, pasta sauces and stir fried vegetables.
