About us

WHO we are

We are local independent business set up by a family in Yarnton.

Like many others, trying to reduce our use of single-use plastic.

We decided that as an everyday consumer we had to take responsibility for our own waste.

We’re on a mission to make it easy for anyone that wants to avoid single-use plastic.

We know that with every plastic bottle we remove from our shopping lists, we leave a cleaner planet behind for our children and future generations.

WHY we care

Like most households, we've spent years diligently separating and sorting our rubbish for the recycling bin.

We never considered what happened to it once it left our house.

One day we watched the BBC TV Series ‘War on Plastic’ and realised that, despite our best efforts, only 9% of our plastic was actually getting recycled... a lot was ending up in our oceans.  [source: National Geographic]

We realised that recycling wasn't necessarily the best option and started to buy our groceries, where possible, in plastic-free packaging.  However, the choices were limited and often more expensive.

We started to reuse our existing plastic containers at refill shops, but these were few and far between, and often the location was not ideal.... It takes commitment and perseverance to shop ethically and sustainably - you have to plan your shop - from cleaning your containers to simply remembering to bring them with you!

So we started thinking....If we could take the hassle out of refilling, could we help others live an affordable greener lifestyle?

 WHAT we do

We provide a refill service: you order online and, much like a milkround, we deliver your order to your doorstep in returnable glass bottles.

We don't make the products we sell, we buy direct from branded manufacturers in bulk, from manufacturers that also operate a closed loop for their wholesale containers.  We buy as local as possible from UK suppliers.

All our products are natural, cruelty-free and environmentally friendly - the majority are vegan.
