Organic Chickpeas are a very versatile ingredient used in Indian & Middle Eastern cuisine.

They can be ground into flour to make chapattis or cooked and blended with garlic, olive oil and tahini, lemon juice, paprika, salt and sesame seeds to make a creamy, wholesome houmous.

Chickpeas are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and fibre, high in protein and they make an excellent alternative to meat in vegetarian and vegan dishes. 

One cup of dried chickpeas will produce around two and a half cups of cooked chickpeas. You would therefore need around 100g of dried chickpeas for every 400g tin of chickpeas you want to replace (since the tinned weight is approx. 250g after draining).

Hand packed in either a paper bag or a returnable organic cotton bag (£1 deposit refunded on return).

Cooking Instructions

Soak 8-12 hrs, cover in water and bring to a boil then simmer for 3 hours. Or pressure-cook 40 min.
