Description
Description
Organic black whole peppercorns for a clean, warming heat with better aroma than pre-ground. Grind only what you need for the fullest flavour — a simple upgrade to everyday seasoning.
Ways to use them
- Grind over pasta, eggs, salads and roasted vegetables.
- Crush and press into meat or fish before cooking.
- Add to marinades, dry rubs and spice blends.
- Simmer whole in stocks, stews and slow-cooked sauces.
- Use in pickles and brines for a gentle, infused heat.
Tips for better flavour
- Grind only what you need — freshly ground pepper has significantly more aroma than pre-ground.
- Use a coarser crush for steak, roasted veg and soups.
- Add near the end of cooking for a brighter, more noticeable finish.
- Pairs well with sea salt, garlic, lemon and fresh herbs.
FAQ
Why use whole peppercorns instead of pre-ground?
Whole peppercorns retain their essential oils until ground, giving a much fresher, more aromatic result. Pre-ground pepper loses flavour quickly once opened.
Can I use these in a standard pepper grinder?
Yes — they work in most pepper mills. Adjust the grind setting to coarse for a more textured finish or fine for a smoother heat.
Can I use them whole in cooking?
Yes — add whole to stocks, soups, brines and slow-cooked dishes for a gentle, infused heat without the sharpness of ground pepper.

Allergen Information
As a bulk foods store, despite maintaining a Five-Star Food Hygiene rating, the presence of allergens cannot be fully eliminated. Sacks of products containing allergens are opened and closed daily as we scoop and refill our shop dispensers. We use separate scoops for each product and store each product in its own container or original sack — however, products containing allergens are not stored or packed in a self-contained area.
This means all products may contain traces of allergens due to cross-contamination.
Where a product is indicated as free from a particular allergen, this means it has not been formulated from or wholly derived from that ingredient. Allergen handling procedures are in place throughout our supply chain to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, but this cannot be guaranteed.
If you have a severe food allergy, please contact us before ordering so we can advise whether our products are suitable for you.
If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your allergy, please contact us before purchasing.
